Update / Question On Several XTO Tobacco Garden Wells -- February 29, 2020

The XTO Tobacco Garden / Arnold wells -- parcel 1023 are tracked here.

In late February, 2020, I noted that several XTO wells in general area had been taken off line. I cannot find any reason why these wells would have been taken off line.

I just checked the five XTO wells in Tobacco Garden: nothing has changed. They are still on the conf list, and there is still a rig on site, on the pad, #36627.

The four wells with no production in 12/19:
  • 30256, Tobacco Garden 11X-17E;
  • 23839, Leiseth 24X-22E;
  • 21208, Jore 34-22NWH; and,
  • 20719, Bergem 44-28NWH;
The five wells in the general area that are still on confidential; on the same pad, and with a rig on site, permit number followed by API:
  • 33631: 33-053-09121
  • 36630: 33-053-09120
  • 36629: 33-053-09119
  • 36628: 33-053-09118
  • 36627: 33-053-09117
Checking FracFocus for two of the above, no frack data posted.

The Oasis Dahl Federal Well -- Deed 8, Tucker Parcel 1030 -- McKenzie County -- Baker Oil Field

Updates

June 5, 2023: four new Dahl Federal wells

November 26, 2022: offer -- Dakota Energy - $14,000 for two acres. No wells drilled in this drilling unit yet; relatively close to the Anna wells which are to the southeast.

March 21, 2022: offer -- Dakota Energy -- $13,336.00.

January 26, 2022: the three new permits that would have affected Tucker EXPIRED July, 2020, and there is no indication Oasis will renew these permits. Today, NDIC announced four new permits in the same general area which suggests these new four permits are replacements for the expired permits, but these new permits will not -- repeat, not -- be mineral royalties for Tucker. New map:

February 18, 2020: three new permits in this drilling unit (dtd December, 2019):

  • 36924, loc-->EXPIRED, Oasis, Dahl 5301 43-11 6B, Baker, permit, 1280 acres, section 2/11-153-101; middle Bakken;
  • 36925, loc-->EXPIRED, Oasis, Dahl 5301 43-11 7B, Baker, permit, 1280 acres, section 2/11-153-101; middle Bakken;
  • 36926,, loc-->EXPIRED, Oasis, Dahl 5301 43-11 8B, Baker, permit, 1280 acres, section 2/11-153-101; middle Bakken;
Tucker Parcel 1030 -- 153-101-2, Dahl Federal, Oasis; Baker oil field.

Note:
  • Baker oil field become a rather large, but very irregularly shaped oil field
  • in this area there has been minimal drilling
  • Oasis is the operator in this area; Oasis cut back on the Bakken in late 2018 when the company began to focus on the Permian
  • the Baker oil field is surrounded by great oil fields; my hunch is that this field will eventually be a great field;
  • at the time of the initial/original post (February 18, 2020), Tucker had only one well in Baker oil field
  • Tucker's decimal unit in Baker oil field: very, very small;

January  29, 2024: see update here, Grayson Mill Cuda wells.

January 12, 2024: royalties included for the Round Prairie and Short Prairie wells (formerly EOG). All wells accounted for. With one exception: the new Cuda well just came on line and so little production, probably not sold yet. See this note.

May 8, 2023: note -- Grayson Mill acquired Round Prairie and Short Prairie from EOG -- I forgot to note when that happened. Grayson Mill now pays royalties.

November 20, 2021: see this case in the December, 2021, hearing dockets.

November 17, 2021: Equinor exited the Bakken in 2021. All Bakken assets transferred to Grayson Mill. For the time being, Equinor will continue paying royalties.

November 11, 2021: full production for #31699 at this post. For the following wells:
